This class is aimed at young sailors who have taken part in sailing classes and want to learn to race. They must have taken a sailing class at the DLYC and be at least 8 years old.

The Learn to Race will be conducted in either Opti’, Sunfish or 420”s depending on the skill level of the sailor. Sailors will be taught basic racing skills such as how to sail around a course, the race start. Sailboat racing rules will be reviewed. Students will be encouraged to attend and participate in the Wednesday night racing schedule.
