Diamond Lake Yacht Club


The Diamond Lake Yacht Club is situated on beautiful Diamond Lake, a 1000+ acre lake in Cass County in southwestern lower Michigan. The DLYC is dedicated to sailing, youth development, lake preservation, and water safety.  We offer members a beautiful club house, a full social calendar, a pickleball court and still lots of sailing and swimming lessons.  For non-members we offer sailing  and swimming classes on Diamond Lake

Get ready for one of the most fun and festive nights of the season at Diamond Lake Yacht Club’s Annual Kentucky Derby Party on Friday, May 2nd and kick off the 2026 season with a bang!

Join us for an unforgettable evening of Derby-day style, signature cocktails, delicious food, and nonstop fun as we celebrate one of the most iconic traditions of spring.

The bar opens at 5:00 PM, and the party will feature contests for Best Dressed Couple, Best Dressed Lady, and Best Hat, along with other exciting Derby-themed activities throughout the night.

We have an amazing selection of Derby themed food and drinks, so grab your best Derby attire and don't forget to register in advance. This is one event you won’t want to miss!

Sailing School Registration Is Open! 


Our Diamond Lake Youth Sailing School is led by a US Sailing Certified leader with a experienced team of sailing instructors. Our sailing courses include several levels for those new to sailing and more experienced youths. Our instruction fleet includes Opti's and 420's. We also offer to members - a KinderSail class for those very young (5-6year old) new sailors and a chance for parents to sail with their youth sailors and instructors in our weekend parent and child classes.
